Non-Reinforced Inflatable SealsNon-Reinforced Inflatable Seals

Inflatable seals can be used for a variety of applications where sealing two surfaces that move in relationship to each other is required. By introducing a medium such as air or fluid, a rubber seal will begin to expand at a specified rate until a determined size of expansion is achieved. The rates and size of the expansion of an inflatable seal are pre-determined by one of the many shapes and sizes we have readily available. For unique or custom applications, we can engineer a solution.

Nearly all inflatable seals are custom fabricated for a specified application, and we can use many of our standard profiles to develop an inflatable seal to a custom required working parameter. By utilizing a standard profile, both time and money are saved.

Fabric Reinforced Inflatable SealsFabric Reinforced Inflatable Seals

A fabric reinforced seal is a completely molded seal that is built around the same operating principles as a homogeneous inflatable seal. The addition of fabric helps increase the amount of internal pressure by which the seal can operate, where higher pressures are required in a non-enclosed environment.

Inflatable Bladders

Dynamic Rubber can design custom inflatable bladders for your application. Custom Tooling is usually required.

Rubber ExtrusionsExtrusions

Dynamic Rubber can supply many custom extrusions through our many partnerships. DRI has access to autoclave cure, microwave cure and salt bath cure extrusion lines.

Molded Rubber & PlasticsMolded Rubber & Plastics

Dynamic rubber offers a variety of molded rubber components supplied by our production or partners in the U.S. and overseas.

Interlocking EndsInterlocking Ends

DRI can make seals with interlocking ends to wrap around a pipe or other areas were a split seal is required.

Molded CornersMolded Corners

Molded corners can be square or a specified radius. Some inflatable seals can be made with a square corner while others inflate more easily with a slight radius in the corner.

Formed CornersFormed Corners

Seals can be preformed with uncured material to a specified radius. The smallest center line radius is typically 2X the width of the seal.

Chemical Resistance

04 May

Depending on the application, the selection of which elastomer to use will depend greatly on the environment directly in contact with the inflatable seal or pneumatic bladder. Very high or extremely low temperatures & corrosive chemicals will have an adverse affect on a seal’s performance and life. If you are unsure of what elastomer is […]
